Raids.png Guardians of the Citadel is a midgame raid that can be taken on in a party of 1 to 6 players.

In this raid, we're not the ones doing the raiding! Hostiles are marching towards the Citadel and it's on us to help keep it standing.

Build defenses, craft ammunition, and brew potions to help the troops of the Citadel withstand the war!

Each run starts with the objective of scavenging for resources, brewing potions for the Citadel and building defenses. You're playing against time and monsters in this challenge - you only have a few minutes to get as well equipped as you can before your party gets thrown into battle.

Teamwork is key to get your party geared up to take on the monsters that await have arrived at the Citadel!

Simple Guide

Tips for Solo Success in Guardians of the Citadel

Immediate Action Plan: Start Woodcutting Immediately: Begin woodcutting as soon as the raid starts to avoid wasting any “ticks.” This ensures a steady supply of logs from the outset.

Enemy Assessment and Foraging: Assess Enemy Types and Numbers: Quickly identify the distribution of Melee, Archery, and Magic enemies. Remember that the total number of enemies (400) will be split among these types.

Forage Strategically: Prioritize foraging based on the enemy types. The system automatically forages for the highest potential seeds. Focus on: 2 seeds for the strongest enemy type. 1 seed for the second strongest type. Skip foraging for the weakest enemy type to save time.

Farming and Brewing: Plant Seeds Efficiently: After foraging, plant the seeds to grow the necessary herbs. Brew Potions Quickly: Use the herbs to brew potions that boost your defensive % against enemy attacks.

Resource Allocation: Prioritize Citadel Offense: Continue Woodcutting: Maintain a steady supply of logs for crafting. Crafting: Use the logs to increase the Citadel’s offense. Aim to get the Citadel Offense to 70% or higher as quickly as possible this will grant you 35 Kills per hit. Our units will “Attack” twice as fast as the enemy. Killing the lowest number of variant enemies first.

Building Defenses: If you have extra time after boosting offense, focus on enhancing the Citadel’s health using Carpentry. Always aim to keep your Citadel Health above “Enemies will hit for X% of the Citadel’s Total Health”.

Skill breakpoints

Foraging.png Foraging and Woodcutting.png Woodcutting tasks use level requirements like Plundering.png Plundering in Reckoning of the Gods, as detailed below. The other 4 skills do not, instead having a base time of around a few seconds at level 70.

The speed at which you complete these tasks is based on your level. Every 5 levels below level 70 will result in a 2% penalty, whereas every 5 levels above 70 will result in a 2% bonus.

For example, if a task has a base time of 2 seconds and you are level 90 in the related skill, you'll be completing it in 1840 milliseconds (92% of base time). At level 50, it'd be 2160 milliseconds (108% of base time).

This results in a maximum time of 128% time at level 1 and a minimum time of 80% at level 120.

Note: The following base times are not official, but results of independent testing:

Foraging = 3 seconds (unaffected by level)

Farming = 3 seconds

Brewing = 4 seconds

Woodcutting = 2.5 seconds (unaffected by level)

Carpentry = 1.75 seconds

Crafting = 2.5 seconds

Foraging.png Foraging with higher levels will add higher tier seeds to the drop table, allowing for better potions to be brewed, with lesser types of seeds being removed from the pool once the player has reached the relevant level requirement + 20. Attempting to forage while below level 60 will result in an error message.

Woodcutting.png Woodcutting will grant a chance of any logs that the player has reached the level requirement for, with lesser types of logs being removed from the pool once the player has reached the relevant level requirement + 40, as seen below.
