The Guardian's lamp is a tool that can only be obtained as a rare 0.1% drop from Guardians of the Citadel. When held while mining, the lamp gives a 20% chance to receive coal when mining higher quality ore (Gold, Platinum, Meteorite, Diamond, Titanium). If the lamp's ability triggers and the player receives a coal ore, they will also receive the experience as if they had mined the coal ore. If the player is using skilling boost consumables such as Common gem dust or Rare gem dust, the bonus experience will be applied to the ore they are mining, but not to the additional coal ore experience if the lamp ability triggers.

This tool is meant to be a complement to the Pickaxe while Mining. If the associated toolbelt upgrade is unlocked, the player can equip the lamp in conjunction with receiving a mining speed boost from a Pickaxe in their inventory.
