The Guardian's mallet is a tool that can only be obtained as a rare 0.1% drop from Guardians of the Citadel. When held while woodcutting, the mallet gives a 10% chance to receive planks on top of the logs currently being cut. Contrary to the Guardian's lamp, if the mallet's ability triggers and the player receives a plank, they will not receive any carpentry experience.
This tool is meant to be a complement to the Hatchet while Woodcutting. If the associated toolbelt upgrade is unlocked, the player can equip the mallet in conjunction with receiving a woodcutting speed boost from a Hatchet in their inventory.
