The potion of trickery gives the player a 15% chance to receive the sell price of gathered items (on top of the item). This potion lasts for 10 minutes (12.5 minutes with 
Potioneering; 13.75 minutes with both Potioneering and 
Responsible drinking).
Despite the description of the potion saying 'receive the sell price of gathered items', this does NOT factor in vendor boosts such as 
An offer they can't refuse or 
Potion of negotiation.
The potion of trickery does not yield gold from extra items received via 
Guardian's mallet (planks) or 
Guardian's lamp (coal) while gathering.
This potion only works with items received from Gathering skills such as:

Tips
- Trickery potions are applied to extra gathered materials which means Local market skilling upgrades such as
The fisherman, 
Power forager, and 
The lumberjack can increase the amount of gold received when the potion effect triggers. - Potioneering and Responsible drinking can be used to prolong the potion's effects, increasing the amount of total gold yield per potion.
- Due to the high base gold value and low action time, cutting
Magical logs is recommended for the best return on investment.
Note: As of 6/8/2023 this potion's effect is now applied to extra gathered materials as well (double loot from upgrades etc.)
